The Public Works Department manages the Township's transportation network connecting the many hamlets and backcountry that comprise North Frontenac. Our network consists of 339 total kilometers, with 181 kilometers of hardsurface and 158 kilometers of gravel.
The Level of Service Policy sets the minimum standards of maintenance and repair for roads. It is the objective of the Township Public Works Department to conduct its operation activities in an efficient and effective way, so as to provide safe driving conditions on all roads owned and maintained by the Township. Operations will be consistent with the needs of a low traffic volume rural road system.
