Certificates of Recognition

Are you or someone you know celebrating a special event or milestone?

The Township of North Frontenac will issue a Certificate of Recognition free-of-charge, to commemorate certain occasions, milestones, achievements or contributions.

About the Certificate

Each framed 8.5" x 11" certificate is signed by the Mayor, includes the Township seal and is inscribed with the name of the recipient along with details of the occasion, milestone, achievement or contribution.
Eligibility Criteria
The Township will issue a Certificate of Recognition for:
  • Birthdays beginning at the 80th and in five (5) year increments for North Frontenac residents;
  • Anniversaries beginning at the 50th and in five (5) year increments, where at least one party is a resident of North Frontenac;
  • Businesses, openings and operational milestones in five (5) year increments where the business is based or notably operating in North Frontenac;
  • Not-For-Profits, openings and operational milestones in five (5) year increments where the business is based or notably operating in North Frontenac;
  • Volunteers to municipal-led initiatives and/or initiatives that provide a significant benefit to residents;
  • Donors to municipal-led initiatives and/or initiatives that provide a significant benefit to residents;
  • Other notable events and accomplishments as deemed appropriate by the Chief Administrative Officer.

 

Note: Certificates will not be issued in rare cases where it is determined that the issuance could negatively impact the integrity and/or reputation of the municipality.
Presentation
In most cases, the requestor will be provided the certificate to present to the recipient.

A requestor may ask to have the Mayor or another member of Council present the certificate at an event. Council will try accommodate these requests but cannot guarantee availability.

The recipient may be invited by Council to have their certificate presented at a council meeting or other event.
Submitting a Request

Any member of the public can submit a request including for themselves.

Requests may be made through one of the following methods:

  • Completing the online form below;
  • By email to recreation@northfrontenac.ca;
  • By mail/drop-off to the Municipal Office (addressed to the Manager of Community Development).

All requests must include the following information:

  • The name of the individual(s) to receive the certificate;
  • The reason for requesting the certificate;
  • The date of the occasion, milestone, achievement or contribution;
  • The requestor's name and contact information. 

Please allow at least two (2) weeks to process your request.
