911 Civic Address Application & Naming a New Private Lane
|
To receive a 911 civic address or replacement, you must complete the 911 Civic Address Application form and return to the Township Office with the applicable fee(s). Once processed, a 911 civic address sign will be installed or ready for pick up (if water access).
To name a new private lane, you must complete a New Private Lane Application to be returned to the Township Office for Processing with the appropriate fee(s). Once approved, a Private Lane Name sign will be installed.

Adopt-A-Road Program Application
|
To adopt a section of roadway with the intention of keeping it free of litter and debris, volunteer group(s) shall complete an Adopt-A-Road Program Application and return to the Township Office attention the Public Works Manager for adoption.

Burn Permits (Commercial Only)
|
A Burn Permit is only required for Qualified Commercial Operators; however, burning rules and bans apply to all residents. Outdoor fires are allowed between the hours of 7 pm and 7 am from April 1st to October 31st in any calendar year, in compliance with the current burning rules and bans.

Accessory Buildings |
Applications for accessory buildings can be a complicated procedure for those that have never applied before. As the complexity of accessory structures can vary greatly, some of the items listed below may or may not be required. Any changes to the structure during construction may require a revision or re-submission of any required documents or plans. Please note that any garage designed on a floating slab over 55 square metres (592 square feet) or 2 storeys in height will require an engineer's design for the slab.

Demolition |
Applications for a demolition are generally simpler than new structures and some of the items listed below may or may not be required. A demolition permit is required for any existing structure that are to be removed and prior to a Building Permit being issued for the new structure if applicable.

Applications for a new home can be a complicated procedure for those that have never applied before. Some important items to consider when applying are as follows:
- If you are not designing the home yourself, you will have to use the services of a qualified designer.
- If you are not acting as the General Contractor yourself, then the home must be enrolled in the Tarion New Home Warranty Program.
- Any changes to the structure during construction may require a revision or re-submission of any required documents or plans.

Farm Building |
If the purpose of the structure is to house livestock or manure, you will likely need to supply proof of the completion of a Nutrient Management strategy or plan from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
All buildings and structures to house livestock and manure must also meet the Minimum Distance Separation formula calculations (MDSII).

Solid Fuel Fire |
Applications for Solid Fuel Fire Appliances require some additional information that must be provided by the appliance and chimney manufacturers. Change your Address
|
If you have changed your address, please complete the Change of Address Confirmation Form, and return to the Township Office. This ensures you receive all your correspondence accordingly.

Dog Licences
|
What is a dog license? |
A dog license assists in the fast and safe return of the dog if it gets lost. Along with the license, a Dog Tag is issued to affix to the dog's collar. This dog tag has a serial number and the year in which it was issued. The serial number, along with the owner's name and address are recorded and kept by the Township. |
What dogs require a dog license? |
All dogs 6 months of age and older which are owned by a permanent or seasonal resident of the Township. |
How is a license obtained? |
Owners can apply for a dog licence by completing the Application for Dog Licence and returning the form to the Township Office with the applicable fee. |
What is the cost for a dog license? |
A yearly license which is purchased prior to March 31st cost $15.00, after March 31st costs $25.00.
A lifetime dog license costs $100.00.
Replacement tags cost $7.50. |
When do annual dog licenses expire? |
Annual licenses expire on December 31st of the year purchased. |

Entrance Permit Application
|
If your driveway enters from a Township road then an Entrance Permit must be completed and returned to the Township Office with the applicable fee for approval by the Public Works Department. All other driveways that enter from a laneway, or private lane, should be made sufficiently accessible for emergency vehicles.

|
To determine if your organization is eligible for a lottery licence, complete the Municipal Lottery Licensing Eligibility Questionnaire and submit to the Clerk's Department at deputyclerk@northfrontenac.ca

Special Event Permits – Liquor Licence
|
If you are holding a special event where alcohol is being served to your guests, a liquor licence must be purchased through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Waste Site Permit Application
|
Property owners may obtain additional Waste Site Permits for family members, renters and/or tenants residing on your property by completing a Waste Site Permit Application Form to return to the Township Office. Waste Site Permits are mailed or available for pick-up at the Township Office upon information validation. A Waste Site Permit is required to gain access into all of the Waste Sites within North Frontenac. Residents who are unable to show their permit or unable to validate their address, access into the waste site will be denied.
