North Frontenac's Commitment

We are committed to providing accessible customer service to persons with disabilities; removing barriers for people with disabilities and ensuring that no new barriers are created. The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) is provincial legislation with a purpose of developing, implementing and enforcing accessibility standards in order to achieve accessibility for Ontarians with disabilities with respect to goods, services, facilities, accommodations, employment, buildings, structures and premises on or before January 1, 2025. In accordance with the AODA, the Township has adopted Customer Service Standards Policies.

The Township of North Frontenac is a member of the Frontenac Accessibility Advisory Committee. The committee meets quarterly on the second Tuesday of January, April, July, and October.at 10 a.m. in the Township of South Frontenac council chamber, 4432 George Street, Sydenham.

Its mandate is to assist the County and Township Councils in the County of Frontenac in enabling persons with disabilities to have equal access to all opportunities within the County by identifying and making recommendations on the removal and prevention of barriers to people with disabilities.

You may also visit the Township in person at or mail your request and concerns to our office located at 6648 Road 506, Plevna, ON K0H 2M0. Township Administration hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We will work with you to understand your specific information and accessibility needs to enable us to provide them within a reasonable timeframe.
