Posted On Thursday April 06, 2023

The Township of North Frontenac has experienced significant rainfall over the last few days and would like to remind residents to exercise extra caution around shorelines and waterways. Residents in flood prone or low lying areas may be experiencing flooding and are advised to continue to maintain a close watch on levels and flows and take the necessary precautions to protect property.

To assist with seasonal flooding, sand is available for sandbags at the following locations:

  • Barrie Public Works Garage, 1272 Road 506, Cloyne, Ontario.
  • Palmerston Public Works Garage, 11586 Road 509, Ompah, Ontario.
  • Snow Road Fire Hall, 14105 Road 509, Snow Road, Ontario.

The Township has a limited supply of unfilled sandbags available for residents free of charge. Please contact the Community Emergency Management Coordinator Eric Korhonen at 613-479-2231 or 613-453-5400 (outside of regular business hours).
